BRIDGEWATER, Nova Scotia—Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. has promoted Andrew Mutch to president of its Canadian operations, succeeding Jeff MacLean, who left Michelin in September.
Mutch, who has more than 30 years of experience with Michelin, will retain his duties as plant manager at the company's Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, plant and manager of tire operations for Michelin Pictou County.
Mutch has spent time working at all three of Michelin's Nova Scotia factories, as well as in Michelin facilities in Oklahoma and South Carolina. He has held roles in industrial engineering, manufacturing management, human resources, and strategic planning and investments, Michelin said.
Born and raised in the Canadian Maritime Provinces, Mutch has been active in local affairs, having served on the boards of directors for the Bridgewater and Area Chamber of Commerce and Bridgewater Development Association.
MacLean now is general manager for Shaw Brick, a unit of Shaw Group Ltd. He was with Michelin for 14 years.
