DANVERS, Mass.—Maxam Tire North America is looking to expand its presence in the agricultural sector on the OE side, and it intends to do so with support from an executive move.
The tire maker has named Michael Vandel to OEM sales manager for agriculture. He will be charged with expanding Maxam's presence with OEMs and driving growth within the company's agricultural line. Specifically, he'll focus on strengthening relationships with OEM partners, developing new collaborative opportunities and finding innovative ways to expand Maxam's portfolio.
The company pointed to Vandel's experience, which includes stints with Michelin, where he served as market segment manager for agriculture and helped to grow Michelin's North American agricultural sales and launch a go-to-market plan for VF Technology products.
Prior to his new role, Vandel was Maxam's regional sales manager, overseeing the Rockies region. He also served as a national account sales manager at Maxam, a role in which he established new account relationships and helped to drive sales growth.
"Michael has been an integral part of our team, consistently delivering exceptional results and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to Maxam's growth," Jimmy McDonnell, vice president of sales and marketing, said in a statement. "His promotion to OEM sales manager (for) agriculture is a direct result of his hard work, proven leadership and dedication to our customers. We look forward to his continued success as he takes on this vital role in expanding Maxam's agricultural business."
