LANSDALE, Pa.—Greene Tweed & Co. hired Magan Buterbaugh as its new president and CEO effective Jan. 3, replacing Kevin Lukiewski, who retired at the end of 2022.

The manufacturer of high performance sealing solutions and engineered components said in a news release that Buterbaugh brings "two decades of experience in progressive management, and a long track record of leading cross-functional teams in a variety of industries and markets, from large corporations to start-ups."

Prior to joining Greene Tweed, Buterbaugh was chief commercial officer for a leading supplier of color pigments, directing the commercial, technology and product management teams. She started her career with 17 years at DuPont and Chemours in a variety of functions, including capital engineering, operations, strategic planning, commercial and business management.

Buterbaugh earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Penn State University, and a master's of business administration from Widener University.

"I am excited to join Greene Tweed—a company with a technology edge and strong customer focus built on a 150-year legacy of delivering high-performance materials for the most demanding applications—and to work collaboratively with our global team," Buterbaugh said in a statement.

Greene Tweed Chairman Allon Bloch said Buterbaugh will be an excellent addition to the Lansdale-based firm's leadership team.

"Her experience in the fluoromaterials space and exposure to the semiconductor and oil and gas industries will be very helpful, but I'm more excited with her track history of innovation, process development and problem solving," Bloch said.

Greene Tweed makes composites, seals, engineered components and thermoplastics for a variety of markets, including the aerospace/defense, energy, semiconductor, industrial, life sciences and chemical processing sectors.
