MUMBAI, India—Birla Carbon, a global suppler of carbon black with U.S. headquarters in Marietta, Ga., has named John Loudermilk as its next CEO.
Loudermilk's appointment took effect Aug. 9. He will lead all aspects of Birla Carbon.
"Birla Carbon has been on a transformation journey for the last few years and John has played a pivotal role in leading this change," Santrupt Misra, Aditya Birla Group's director of carbon black; director of chemicals; and director of HR, said in a news release.
"His deep insights into workings of global business and understanding of the carbon black business and its customers make him most suited to lead Birla Carbon through the next stage of its growth, premised on innovation and purpose. I wish John all success in this endeavor."
Loudermilk, with more than three decades in the industry, previously served as chief operating officer with Birla Carbon, focusing on customer service and innovation at the company and leading an initiative toward sustainable carbon materials.
He joined the business as director of global operations in 2005. In 2008, he was appointed vice president of global operations.
