REMICH, Luxembourg—Lars Placke has been named the next CEO of the China-based CQLT SaarGummi Technologies S.a.r.l.
With more than two decades in the automotive industry, Placke, 50, officially accepted the position April 1. He succeeds Larry Johnson, who stepped down last month "for personal reasons."
"I am looking forward to the exciting task and to mastering the current and future challenges in the automotive market environment together with the team at SaarGummi," Placke said.
Placke previously worked in executive positions with Robert Bosch and the Blaupunkt Technology Group.
He also served as co-chairman for BH Sens, a joint venture between the Baolong Group in China and the German Huf Group.
SaarGummi Group, a Chinese state-owned enterprise, supplies sealing systems for a range of industries.
The company has more than 6,100 employees at locations in North and South America, Asia and Europe.
The corporation has three major business segments, including SaarGummi Automotive, SaarGummi Industries and SaarGummi Neo.
