BUFORD, Ga.—Kraiburg TPE Corp. has hired a new leader for the North, Central and South American regions with the appointment of Henning Karbstein as managing director.
Karbstein will take over Oct. 1 for the retiring Jeff Frankish, who has been managing director of the regions for 17 years. A six-month transition phase between the two concludes Sept. 30.
"Jeff has done pioneering work in the Americas and has advanced the development of our business areas there at a high level," said Oliver Zintner, CEO at Kraiburg TPE. "This and his extraordinary presence have left lasting traces on the whole company.
"However, we are confident that his successor, Henning Karbstein, will continue on this path to success in the best tradition and, with his management and industry expertise from the automotive and engineering industry, will take us to the next stages of development in America in the coming years."
Karbstein, who has been in training for his new role since April 1, will manage operations for the global TPE manufacturer from its location in Atlanta.
Karbstein began his career at the Schaeffler Group, a Tier 1 supplier based in Herzogenaurach, Germany.
He transitioned to Detroit in 2001 to lead the engine systems division as a program manager.
Karbstein also has worked for BASF and Badische Stahl Engineering.
"Kraiburg TPE has long been established as a major player in the plastics processing industry in the region," Karbstein said. "Going forward, I want to contribute to expanding our business activities in North, Central and South America even further so that we can gradually unlock our full potential there."
