HELMBRECHTS, Germany—Klaus Schabert has been appointed chief operating officer of Raumedic A.G., succeeding Martin Schenkel in the position.
The appointment took effect Sept. 7.
"Klaus Schabert has extensive experience in the executive and strategic management of several plants," said Stefan Seuferling, CEO and chairman of the executive board of Raumedic A.G. "In addition, he is characterized by excellent knowledge in the areas of production control, supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, procurement and technical developments."
Raumedic is a provider of polymer-based products for the medical and pharmaceutical industries.
Schabert joined Raumedic in February 2022. He previously worked for Faber Castell Group, where he led the cosmetics division and managed several clean room production sites.
Overall, Schabert has 25 years experience in management.
"Klaus Schabert has used his skills effectively, purposefully and profitably," Seuferling said. "I am certain that he will make a very significant and tangible contribution to the development of the company as a member of the executive board and COO."
Raumedic employs about 1,200 people worldwide with core markets in Europe and North America.
