PAWCATUCK, Conn.—Davis-Standard L.L.C., a supplier of extrusion and converting technology, has hired Ken Vargas as its next regional sales manager for the aftermarket.
Vargas will be responsible for sales in Kansas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and Mexico.
"Ken brings a proven engineering background and technical expertise to our North American team," said Joe Guigli, Davis-Standard vice president of aftermarket sales. "His communication skills, understanding of mechanical processes, and knowledge of ongoing systems improvement will be an asset to customers and our aftermarket initiatives."
He will lead both existing sales as well as the push to gain market share, including the marketing of products and services for all Davis-Standard brands.
Vargas previously worked for Coperion Corp., where he served as a project engineer for material handling modernization, specifically in conveyance systems in the chemical, oil and gas, food and mineral manufacturing applications.
Davis-Standard systems comprise more than 10 product lines in the agriculture, automotive, construction, health care, energy, electronics, food and beverage packaging, and retail industries.
