NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Hankook Tire & Technology Co. Ltd. has promoted Kyuwang (Ken) Cho to lead sales and marketing efforts at Hankook Tire America Corp., headquartered in Nashville.
Cho officially became senior vice president of passenger and light truck sales (P/LT) and marketing for North America on Feb. 1.
In his new role, Cho is responsible for marketing strategy, technical services, Canada marketing, and supply chain and logistics operations.
"As such, he'll drive key programs to enhance Hankook's presence in the North America market, including Hankook's newly relaunched ONE Program which offers recognition and incentives for tire dealers across the country," the company said in statement.
Cho has worked for Hankook for more than 25 years. He joined the Hankook America team a year ago as head of U.S. P/LT sales. Previously, he was vice president of global sales for Hankook in South Korea, where he led international market expansion and strategic sales initiatives.
"As we continue to expand our presence in North America, Ken brings expertise in driving sales and strategic market growth," Rob Williams, president of Hankook America, said.
"His experience will be key as we ramp production at our Tennessee Plant and complete our Phase 2 and Phase 3 expansion. We look forward to the synergy Ken will bring to our sales and marketing efforts to achieve both collaborative innovation at Hankook and success for our dealers."
The 2024 Rubber News Global Tire Report ranked Hankook as the seventh largest tire maker in the world, based on 2023 global tire sales of $6.6 billion.
