Husky appoints John Linker as chief financial officer

BOLTON, Ontario—Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. has named John Linker as its next chief financial officer.

Linker officially assumed the post Oct. 19.

"John Linker is a proven leader and finance executive who is the right fit for the next stage of our journey," said Husky CEO John Galt. "He has worked across a wide range of industries and has substantial experience in both public company and private equity sponsor settings.

"We believe his background and expertise will be critical to our success in coming years."

Linker succeeds John Hafferty, who helped improve the company's accounting and finance operations, assembled "a strong team" and ensured best practices were in place throughout the organization.

Hafferty joined Husky in 2019 after the company came under new ownership.

"John Hafferty was instrumental in the continued development of the Husky finance organization, and we are grateful for all his contributions," Galt said. "The groundwork he laid paves the way for a seamless transition to the next phase of the company's growth and evolution."

Linker comes to Husky from Serta Simmons Bedding L.L.C., where he was executive vice president, CFO and chief operating officer.

He also worked for UTC Aerospace Systems, Wachovia Securities and Bank of America.
