HF Group appoints Stern as managing director

HAMBURG, Germany—Tire and rubber machinery major HF Group has announced the appointment of Karsten Stern to the HF management board.

"Together with Zoran Uranjek, he will lead HF TireTech Group's and HF FoodTech Group's future business," HF said in a press release Oct. 16.

Officially appointed Sept. 1, Stern's remit is to "further advance HF's competences and performance portfolio," according to the release.

Stern has "wide-ranging experience in mechanical and plant engineering as well as in processing, primarily in the food sector," HF added. The company did not provide further details.

Uranjek was appointed to the HF Group management board in November 2022, having worked at HF for 24 years, including as managing director of its Belisce production site since 2010.

Announcing that appointment, HF said Mark Meulbroek would support its management team on an interim basis—serving with Uranjek "as MDs responsible for the business units HF TireTech Group and HF FoodTech Group."

Meulbroek is a board member of HF's parent group L. Possehl & Co. mbH and has previously been a manager of HF Mixing Group.

Possehl now lists Meulbroek as a member of its executive board since 2021 "and responsible for the divisions Tyre Technology and Identification Solutions."
