AKRON—Leading custom mixer Hexpol North America has promoted Gary Moore to chief commercial officer, a move that coincides with a change in the firm's structure.
Moore previously served as director of sales for the company.
"Gary is a terrific leader with a depth of experience in technology, supply chain and commercial management," Ken Bloom, president of Hexpol North America, said in a May 18 statement. "Under this new structure, Gary and the team will be able to focus our resources to the specific markets we serve and provide improved technical and commercial support to our many diverse customers."
As part of the restructuring, Moore will lead a team of three directors who will be responsible for the automotive, specialty and industrial markets. The firm said the focus on market segments will allow for better alignment with customers.
Bruce Wynd will be director of automotive; Saul Reyes will act as director of specialty markets; and Chris Airhart, who was recently hired by Hexpol, will be director of industrial segments. Hexpol said the market directors will be supported by a "highly skilled commercial and technical team."
According to Hexpol, Airhart has executive experience in the chemical space, most recently serving as vice president of refined oil sales for Boston-based Safety-Kleen Oil. Overall, Airhart boasts more than 15 years of industry experience.
"We are honored to have Chris join Hexpol N.A.," Moore said. "We are confident that his background of commercial success, market knowledge and experience will benefit Hexpol's customers and drive our growth in the industrial market."
