Hahn Group appoints Frank Konrad as CTO/COO

RHEINBOLLEN, Germany—Hahn Group, which specializes in automation and robotic solutions, has appointed Frank Konrad as chief technical officer and chief operating officer, effective Feb. 1.

Konrad will continue in his role as CEO of Hahn Automation, a segment of the Hahn Group. The appointment was made with growth in mind in the coming years, according to Hahn Group.

"As a global company, we have the size and the strength to be a reliable development and implementation partner for our customers, even for very large and complex automation projects," said Hahn Group CEO Philipp Unterhalt. "Therefore, we will join our competencies and capacities even more closely together."

Konrad, 49, will lead innovation and development, as well as engineering, software and purchasing at Hahn Group. He will look to make developmental inroads in automotive, diagnostics, electronics and medical devices, according to the company.

"I see great potential in the Hahn Group, which we will realize even faster through harmonization and integration of the individual companies," Konrad said. "We always take into account the requirements of the individual companies, industries and customers. That is what makes this role so exciting, along with the implementation of a joint innovation strategy."

Chief Financial Officer Axel Greschitz rounds out the leadership at Hahn Group, along with Konrad and Unterhalt.

"I am very happy that Frank is ready for these challenges and that he is putting his decades of experience and competence at the service of the entire Hahn Group," Unterhalt said.

Hahn Group has about 1,600 employees at 30 locations worldwide.
