AKRON—Goodyear is shuffling its management team, naming Christina Zamarro as executive vice president and chief financial officer and appointing Darren R. Wells executive vice president and chief administrative officer.

Both appointments are effective Jan. 1.

Zamarro will oversee Goodyear's global financial organization, the tire maker said, including all corporate finances—treasury, investor relations, accounting, audit and financial planning and analysis.

This includes overseeing finance teams in the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Zamarro, currently the vice president, finance and treasurer, will succeed Wells in the position and will report to Goodyear Chairman, CEO and President Richard Kramer.

Jordan Coughlin, previously assistant treasurer, capital markets, has been named vice president and treasurer, effective Jan. 1.

Goodyear said Christian Gadzinski, senior director, investor relations, will continue to lead those functions. Both Coughlin and Gadzinski will report to Zamarro.

Kramer said he has worked with Zamarro for several years and has "seen her develop into a seasoned senior finance leader and high performing corporate treasurer."

"She has long been an integral member of our finance leadership team, bringing a deep knowledge of our company and demonstrating the ability to navigate our industry in a complex business environment," Kramer said, adding he's looking forward to her increased role and contributions.

Zamarro serves on Goodyear's Diversity & Inclusion Executive Council and on the board of L3Harris. Zamarro has an undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Vanderbilt University.

Zamarro, 50, will receive an annual base salary of $725,000 and will participate in the company's Executive Annual Incentive Plan, with a target annual incentive of $725,000, according to a Goodyear filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Zamarro joined Goodyear in 2007 after working at the Ford Motor Co. She has served in several roles over the last 15 years, including a key role in strengthening the company's financial strategy, treasury and investor relations functions, Goodyear said.

Kramer called her "respected voice externally with strong connections to our key financial stakeholders," as well as a "trusted and collaborative advisor to Goodyear's businesses, senior leadership team and board, all of whom rely on her ability to bring valuable insights to support Goodyear's financial, commercial and operational success."

He said she will be a "strong partner for me in advancing Goodyear's priorities along with developing our finance leadership, talent and teams."

Kramer said wells now will devote his focus to overseeing Goodyear's business strategy and growth agenda.

"This is a pivotal time in Goodyear's history, and I look forward to continuing to partner with Darren, leveraging his deep knowledge of all aspects of our business as we chart a course to deliver Goodyear's near-term and long-term strategic objectives," Kramer said.

Wells has been with the tire maker for 20 years, joining as vice president and treasurer and then advanced to various finance leadership roles to become chief financial officer.

He also was president of Goodyear's Europe, Middle East and Africa business for two years before leaving Goodyear for a stint as executive in residence at the University of South Florida. He rejoined Goodyear as executive vice president and CFO in 2018.
