AKRON—Goodyear has re-elected 12 board members for another year through voting during the company's annual meeting.
With the COVID-19 outbreak still not under control, Akron-based Goodyear, on April 6, had what it called a "virtual annual shareholder meeting."
Re-elected to the board were: James A, Firestone, Werner Geissler, Peter S. Hellman, Laurette T. Koellner, CEO Richard J. Kramer, W. Alan McCollough, John E. McGlade, Roderick A. Palmore, Hera K. Siu, Stephanie A. Streeter, Michael R. Wessel and Thomas L. Williams.
Shareholders also appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P. as Goodyear's accounting firm for this year.
Goodyear makes tires at 47 locations in 21 countries and employs about 63,000.
It was only in early March that Goodyear originally scheduled the annual meeting with plans to meet in person at an Akron-area hotel. But that quickly changed with the COVID-19 outbreak, causing the company to instead schedule an online version of the meeting.
