As Scandinavian Enviro Systems A.B. prepares for expansion—part of a vision set forth by the company and Antin Infrastructure Partners with which it formed a joint venture earlier this year—Enviro will do so under new leadership.
After eight years as Enviro CEO, Thomas Sorensson will step aside in February, allowing his successor Fredrik Emilson to take the helm. Sorensson will remain with Enviro as a senior adviser.
"With the collaboration with Antin Infrastructure Partners in place, Enviro takes a new step in its development, which requires a new type of leadership. That such an experienced and qualified leader as Fredrik Emilson steps into the role of CEO is truly gratifying as it gives the company very good conditions during its next phase," Enviro Chairman Alf Blomqvist said in a statement.
Emilson, whose career includes a stint at Trelleborg Group, comes to Enviro from powdered metal producer Hoganas A.B., where he served as CEO from 2010-17. While with the company, he served in several leadership roles where he held responsibility over European and Asian operations.
