VANCOUVER, Wash.—Looking to expand its offerings in key markets, Emerald Kalama Chemical L.L.C. has promoted Kelly Pippine to fill the role of vice president, marketing and technology.
Pippine, who joined Emerald in 2016, will concentrate on innovation, building growth strategies and leading product stewardship in her new post.
"Kelly's new role will create greater alignment and leadership for marketing, regulatory, research and development," said Edward Gotch, CEO of Emerald Kalama Chemical. "In the past few years, we have been focused on introducing new offerings, realizing growth in key markets and driving brand trust and reputation. Kelly has been an instrumental part of the success of these initiatives."
Gotch said Pippine will "build on that momentum" in her new role. She previously served as global marketing and strategy director for Emerald.
According to Gotch, Pippine distinguished herself when Emerald launched the Kalaguard SB preservative for home care in 2019, developing a file of applications data and marketing the preservative into a successful and popular product.
"This is just one of many projects where we can draw a line between its success and Kelly bringing her insight and drive to the team," Gotch said.
Pippine has two decades of experience in the marketing, commercial and technical fields, acting as liaison to regulatory agencies and non-governmental organizations in her previous role at Emerald.
Prior to her work at Emerald, Pippine worked for Celanese Corp. and Dow Chemical Co.
Emerald offers a variety of material solutions, boasting a portfolio that includes adhesives, foods, beverages, fragrances, cosmetics, home care, rubber, vinyl and other consumer and industrial products.
