PAWCATUCK, Conn.—James Johnson, formerly a sales engineer with Polymer Systems Inc., has joined Davis-Standard as regional sales manager for sheet and foam, covering the Southeast region of the U.S.
Johnson's territory will include Tennessee, North Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana, according to release from Davis-Standard. He will be headquartered in Hickory, N.C.
"James brings industry sales, manufacturing and adhesives experience to his position, which will be beneficial to our sheet and foam business," said Steve DeAngelis, Davis-Standard vice president, sheet and foam systems. "His communication and technical abilities, knowledge of the Southeast and ability to address complex issues and deliver results will serve customers well."
Davis-Standard said Johnson will assess equipment needs and requirements with customers, and support product engineering, equipment upgrades, cost-assessment and production strategies.
Johnson, who holds a yellow belt in Lean Six Sigma, was a sales engineer for Polymer Systems Inc. before joining Davis-Standard.
With 1,400 employees at facilities around the world, Davis-Standard works in the design, development and distribution of extrusion and converting technology.
