Colletti to lead Bridgestone's consumer OE efforts

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Bridgestone Americas Inc. has hired David Colletti, most recently vice president of original equipment at Sumitomo North America Inc., as president of consumer original equipment tire sales, North America.

Colletti succeeds Shannon Quinn—who was hired in 2017 to fill the position—who has accepted a new, unspecified assignment in the company.

In this new position, Colletti will lead all original equipment tire activities for the North America market, including long-range planning, sales, operations, marketing and program management, Bridgestone said.

In addition, he will be responsible for setting the growth strategy for the company's OE tire business, with a key focus on expanding the company's offering beyond tires to include sustainable mobility solutions.

Riccardo Cichi, president, core tire and chief sales officer, said: "David is the right leader to take our original equipment tire business to the next level as we evolve and expand our offering to help our customers achieve their sustainability goals and deliver a better, more efficient and cleaner mobility future."

Bridgestone noted that with nearly two decades of leadership experience in the automotive supplier and original equipment manufacturer channel, Colletti has a proven track record of creating and delivering value for automotive manufacturers.

Prior to this he was vice president, original equipment, technical service and quality assurance at SRNA from 2017 until recently. He worked for Pirelli from mid-2007 through year-end 2016 and for Goodyear from 1998-2005.

SRNA recently promoted Cliff Stewart to director, original equipment sales of the company's Falken Tires subsidiary.
