Cimcorp names new leader for North American region

ALPHARETTA, Ga.—Automation logistics company Cimcorp Group has named Pekka Natri as its new head of region for North America.

The move, announced Nov. 5, will help drive collaboration with corporate partners and strengthen Cimcorp's presence both in the region and globally, the company said.

Formerly head of region for Southeast Asia and Pacific and India, Natri has been with Cimcorp since 2018. He brings over 30 years of management experience to his new position, according to the company.

Natri expressed excitement for the new position and the future—both short and long term—of Cimcorp at large.

"I am excited about the opportunity to strengthen Cimcorp's position in North America," Natri said in a statement. "My goal is to make a positive impact today while laying the foundation for the future of automation in key sectors like grocery retail and tire manufacturing."

Since joining the company in 2018, Natri has led the initial development in two new Cimcorp offices in Sydney and Chennai, India. In his new role, he will oversee the alignment of Cimcorp teams throughout North America and work to move the company's automation innovation solutions on the continent even further.

Natri has worked on both the local and global levels, he said, and has seen "both sides of the coin." He said that having the experience of both has helped him to become a stronger leader overall.

"Through working in various countries with diverse teams, I've developed a deep understanding and appreciation of different perspectives and ways of thinking," Natri said. "As a manager, I give people the freedom to approach ideas and issues in new ways—which enables our team to collaborate and solve challenges with open minds."

Natri's leadership style is based in employee motivation and working as a full team. Cimcorp's North American branch can "create synergies and deliver greater value than what we could achieve alone" in an environment where everyone has equal input, he said.

"I believe great leadership is based on transparency, mutual trust and setting clear targets," Natri said. "I want to create an open environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing their ideas. Working as a team, we can. My role in it all is to motivate employees to focus on the right goals, ensuring that they succeed as individuals and that we succeed as a company."

Finland-based Cimcorp offers the tire industry a "Dream Factory," which is designed to manage the tire throughout the material handling process. Through software and various robotic applications, the company can provide "automation in every area of that tire factory, from raw materials to green tire to finished tire and shipping," officials said.
