NORCROSS, Ga.—Cimcorp, a maker of robotic equipment for tire manufacturing, order fulfilment and handling, has a new manager of U.S. operation and technical services.
Joel Kuusman, who has been with the company since 2014, will be lead the company's U.S. office in Norcross.
"Given his background and experience, Joel is the ideal team member to head up our U.S. office. He will help align ongoing operations and strategies between our entities in North America and headquarters in Finland," Rick Trigatti, president of Grimsby, Ontario-based Cimcorp Automation Ltd., said in a statement.
Cimcorp is a unit of Murata Machinery Ltd. of Japan, which calls itself a supplier of turnkey automation for intralogistics through the use of robotics.
The company's material handling systems provide a variety of work for the tire industry, including the storage and movement raw rubber materials and components during manufacturing as well as warehousing and shipping automation.
Cimcorp,which is headquartered in Finland, also services the food and beverage, retail, electronic commerce, consumer goods and postal service markets.
Kuusman holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from LUT University in Finland. The company said his years of working and living in both Finland and the U.S. give him an understanding of both markets and cross-cultural communication.
