GOTHENBURG, Sweden—Scandinavian Enviro Systems A.B. has named Christian Bergaust as its interim chief financial officer and plans to move him into the role permanently in the coming weeks.
Bergaust will take the interim post Nov. 13, serving alongside outgoing CFO Staffan Kullberg, who will leave the position Nov. 23.
"Bergaust has extensive experience from jobs as financial manager in the medical technology and pharmaceutical industry, but also has a background from the automotive industry," Enviro said in a Nov. 9 release.
Bergaust previously worked at Alelion Energy Sytems and Elos Medtech A.B. He studied economics at the Gothenburg School of Economics.
Scandinavian Enviro Systems uses patented technology for the recovery of valuable raw materials from scrapped and end-of-life products, including tires, via pyrolysis.
Carbon black that is recovered in the process goes back into other tires and non-tire rubber products as rCB, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 93 percent against virgin carbon black, Enviro said.
Enviro has its head office in Gothenburg and a plant for the recycling of end-of-life tires in Asensbruk.
The largest owner of the publicly held Enviro is the French tire manufacturer Michelin. Enviro was founded in 2001.
