ANN ARBOR, Mich.—The Center for Automotive Research has added a new strategic advisor and chief human resources officer with the hiring of Marios Zenios and Cheryl Cerqueira, respectively.

Zenios brings "extensive experience" in the automotive industry, and Cerqueira has worked for two decades in both the private and public sectors in HR.
"We are thrilled to welcome Marios Zenios and Cheryl Cerqueira to the CAR team," said Alan Amici, president and CEO of CAR. "Their extensive experience and knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to support the automotive industry through research, analysis and thought leadership."
Zenios most recently worked with Fiat Chrysler as engineering vice president and director of the Connected Car, Infotainment and Corporate Software Quality division.
While there, he led the launch of the Uconnect Infotainment Systems and Services. He previously worked for Motorola as senior vice president and general manager of the Automotive Electronics Group, pioneering solutions in telemetrics and telecommunications while there.
Cerqueira joins CAR after serving in HR roles with the Michigan Department of Transportation, PepsiCo Inc., Sara Lee and Ford Motor Co.
She will be charged with the development and implementation of CAR's human resources strategy and cultural goals.
CAR's mission is the examination of research and technical issues that affect the automotive industry.
