MILAN—Camfin S.p.A. is to nominate Marco Tronchetti Provera and Andrea Casaluci for the respective roles of executive vice chairman and CEO in the company's next shareholders meeting, set for July 31.
Camfin, which holds a 14.10-percent share in Pirelli and is controlled by current CEO and Executive Vice Chairman Marco Tronchetti Provera, said the nomination follows a decision by CEO-designate and "deputy-CEO" Giorgio Bruno to leave the board of directors to "pursue his own entrepreneurial activities."
"After collaborating for many years on the guidance of the development of the Pirelli Group, I have decided to embark on my own entrepreneurial course, which will absorb my professional energies in (the) future," Bruno said in the statement.
Casaluci joined Pirelli in 2002 and has been serving as the general manager operations at the tire maker since 2018.
