TOKYO—Looking to strengthen its global management structure in the face of an evolving global marketplace, Bridgestone is promoting two key executives to joint global COOs, tasked with making the company more flexible and agile.
The executives are Paolo Ferrari, head of global solution strategy and head of Bridgestone's Americas business, and Masahiro Higashi, responsible for the global mining and aircraft tire business, the Japanese tire business and the Japanese diversified products business.
Bridgestone CEO Shu Ishibashi said Ferrari and Higashi will focus their efforts on driving forward the company's Corporate Transformation (CX) strategy that was disclosed in 2020.
That plan, known as Third Foundation/Bridgestone 3.0, is designed to help Bridgestone enhance its sustainability while pursuing more solutions-oriented business endeavors.
