AVON, Ohio—Barentz B.V. has promoted Rob Lorenzini to director of technology and development for the Barentz North America CASE and Plastics Division.
The international distributor of life science chemicals and specialty performance materials said Lorenzini will be responsible for all strategic and technical support processes within the business unit.
"Over the last seven years, Rob's enthusiasm, experience and hunger to accumulate and share knowledge has been transformative in the growth of our plastics business," said Bill Nicholas, senior vice president for the CASE and plastics unit. "Rob is universally respected within our industry as a trusted technical adviser and expert in his field.
"He is truly deserving of this latest recognition as the next step in his career with Barentz and as a thought leader in the plastics industry."
Lorenzini, who started with Barentz in June 2017, will work directly with the principal management team.
Barentz provides value-added support, including pre-mixing, blending, ingredient formulation and ingredient testing from its facilities in EMEA, Americas and Asia-Pacific.
The company sees annual net sales of around $2.7 billion and employs more than 2,600 people across the globe.
