INDIANAPOLIS—The Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers has elected Christian Buhlmann of Gates Corp. as president of the ARPM Board of Directors, and Travis Turek, president of Bruckman Rubber Co. as vice president.
Gates is based in Denver, while Bruckman Rubber calls Hastings, Neb., home.
"We're very pleased to welcome Chris and Travis as our new board president and vice president," said Letha Keslar, ARPM's managing director. "They assume these roles at an exciting time for our industry and for ARPM."
Buhlmann, a veteran of the U.S. Navy with a background in technology development, called it "an honor" to serve as board president.
"The material science aspect of the rubber industry as it evolves with new materials is important in a world where every material is being considered," he said. "This technology area is something that ARPM is capable of helping with awareness and potential. Being asked to serve as president is an honor given the caliber of business leaders that make up the ARPM Board."
Turek comes to the executive role with ARPM after working in the industry since 2015, and in strategic planning and continuous improvement for the last 25 years.
"I am excited for the opportunity to serve all the great people at ARPM," Turek said.
Keslar said the new roles for both Buhlmann and Turek "complement our board of directors' skills and experiences, as we are confident, they will provide valuable perspectives as we continue to execute our strategy and enhance value for all ARPM members."
ARPM comprises rubber business leaders and has more than 100 members. The association provides programs, networking, forecasting and other services.
