TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.—The Center for Automotive Research has named Alan Amici as its next president and CEO.
Amici, who has more than three decades of experience with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. and TE Connectivity, replaces the retiring Carla Bailo in the top spot for CAR.
"It is an extraordinary time to be in the mobility industry," Amici said. "Technical innovation is driving enormous changes to the products and processes that drive our business. CAR's commitment to independent research is and will remain essential to its core values.
"It is an honor and a privilege to lead the CAR organization."
The announcement was made at the 57th annual Management Briefing Seminars.
Amici officially will assume the role Sept. 1.
Bailo will have led the Ann Arbor-based organization for five years.
