AKRON—Akron Dispersions Inc., a designer, chemical processor and manufacturer of dry blends and emulsions, has promoted Kayley Fishel-Hayat to vice president of technology.
Fishel-Hayat comes to the role—which she officially assumed July 18—after serving as technical director at Akron Dispersions. She was hired by the company in 2019 after working as a scientist at Goodyear for more than three years.
Fishel-Hayat earned her Ph.D. in organic/polymer chemistry in 2015 from the University of South Carolina, and her bachelor's in chemistry in 2011 from the University of Pittsburgh.
In addition, As well, Akron Dispersions CEO Michael Giustino said that Cameron Schultz has been promoted to quality and lab manager. Schultz was hired by Akron Dispersions in 2021 after his graduation from Kent State University with a bachelor's in chemistry.
Akron Dispersions serves the medical glove and condom spaces, as well as provides chemical products used in latex tubing, adhesives and solid rubber products. It specializes in the design and manufacture of aqueous dispersions and emulsions, dry blends, dry grinds, repackaging and other chemical processing
