BOSTON—Rubber and specialty chemicals maker Cabot Corp. has a new board member.
The Boston-based company elected Douglas Del Grosso to the board, effective April 30. Along with joining the board, he also becomes a member of its audit committee.
Del Grosso is CEO of Adient P.L.C., an automotive seating maker based in Plymouth, Mich.
"His significant leadership experience and global operational expertise within the automotive sector will further enhance the Board's depth and capabilities that are necessary to oversee the Company's 'Advancing the Core' strategy," Board Chair Sue H. Rataj said in a statement.
Cabot makes rubber and specialty carbons, activated carbon, inkjet colorants, masterbatches and conductive compounds, fumed silica and aerogel.
Adient was spun off of Johnson Controls in 2016.
