BALLSTON SPA, N.Y.—Specialty Silicone Products has promoted Adam Stiles to chief operating officer, effective immediately.
Stiles, SSP vice president since 2020, has been in charge of company sales and marketing efforts since 2010. He will have oversight of approximately 50 of the 76 SSP employees as COO, the company said.
"Adam has done an outstanding job navigating us through the COVID-19 pandemic and the worst silicone rubber shortage in history," said Paul DiCaprio, SSP president. "He's successfully positioned SSP for long-term growth in the septa, EMI/RFI shielding, aerospace and defense, and medical device markets.
"Adam will continue to grow the business while taking on responsibilities for operations in order to drive greater efficiencies."
In addition to sales, marketing and long-term strategic efforts, Stiles will maintain responsibility for manufacturing, engineering and supply chain.
Stiles joined SSP in 2008 and has served in various roles with increasing responsibility for the niche provider of specialty silicone products.
The company was founded in 1989 and has about 54,000 square feet in Ballston Spa.
