ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast—The World Rubber Summit 2020 has been canceled and the next edition of the event will be held in 2021
The conference originally was scheduled for May 4-6 in Abidjan, but was postponed to September due to COVID-19.
In an Aug. 5 statement, the International Rubber Study Group said this year's event will not be held due to travel restrictions, containment measures by the government of Ivory Coast, and the health and safety of participants.
The organizing steering committee is considering the months of April, May or June for the 2021 edition of the show and will announce the new dates "in due course."
