AKRON—The ACS Rubber Division has enlisted the help of a supply-chain management expert to discuss the immediate and lasting effects of the novel coronavirus on the rubber industry during a free webinar.
The 90-minute webinar is free to join, and begins at 10 a.m. Eastern time on April 1. It will feature Mahesh Srinivasan, an associate professor of supply chain and operations management who also serves as director of the Institute of Global Business in the College of Administration at the University of Akron.
The session will cover potential economic, logistic and sourcing impacts of the coronavirus outbreak, according to a Rubber Division news release.
Srinivasan has a doctorate in supply chain management and a master's degree in business logistics from Penn State University. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pune, India. His articles have appeared in many peer review journals and he was a part of the Working Committee of President Obama's initiative on Advance Manufacturing Partnership 2.0.
