CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio—Rubber News has postponed its Hose & Belt Manufacturers Conference until spring 2022 because of the impact of the COVID-19 Delta variant and the resulting increase in corporate travel restrictions.
The event had been scheduled for Oct. 13-14 at the Sheraton Suites Akron hotel in Cuyahoga Falls. The rescheduled dates will be announced in the near future.
"Although we are all excited to return to in-person events, we feel that it is in the best interest of our attendees and exhibitors to delay this conference until a time in which we can safely and effectively offer the interactive networking event that we all desire," said Brennan Lafferty, group publisher of the Crain Global Polymer group of publications.
In lieu of the in-person event being postponed, Rubber News will offer Hose & Belt Manufacturers Virtual Roundtable Discussions at 10 a.m. Eastern time on Oct. 13 and 14. The interactive sessions are intended to allow attendees and exhibitors to connect with industry colleagues to discuss issues of importance to the hose and belt sector.
The topics for the discussions include Sustainable Manufacturing & Material Solutions, along with the current Market Conditions for the industry. A hose and belt industry expert will moderate the roundtables.
Current registrants and exhibitors of the Hose & Belt Manufacturers conference will be registered for the virtual roundtables automatically. For those who have not registered, go to rubbernews.com/hosevirtual for registration details.
