NEWARK, Del.—Polymer Technologies Inc., which makes noise control and energy management products, will continue production as an essential business during the coronavirus outbreak, the company said.
Polymer Technologies, in a statement, indicated it will "remain open to continue producing the critical parts that we supply to our many customers who are creating the life-saving products that will support the world through the COVID-19."
The Newark-based company also is asking suppliers to remain "fully operational and continue the uninterrupted flow of materials to us so that we can produce and provide essential parts."
Polymer Technologies provides products to a variety of applications, including medical, aviation, aerospace, mass transportation, military, power generation, heavy truck and emergency vehicles. The company uses a variety of materials, including rubber, in those products.
The company also makes air and fluid transfer products, including rubber hoses, silicone hoses and custom molded parts. And a line of rubber compounds developed by Polymer Technologies is marketed under the DuraFlex brand name.
