MILAN—Pirelli & C. S.p.A. is extending its support for employees as they work to establish a new work-life balance that includes working remotely while also caring for children and family members.
The initiative, an online program, aims to engage employees and help them manage their families and prepare them for the gradual return to activities.
The online offerings give employees access to educational and health-related resources, includes yoga, pilates and workout sessions as well as "mindfulness practices" for psychological support, Pirelli said in a news release.
Through its online education initiative, dubbed "Pirelli smart kids," employees have access to play-based educational videos and resources that can help to keep kids active and engaged. Children's programming includes creative workshops, English lessons and technology and innovation modules.
Pirelli also provided its Italy-based employees with face masks. The masks, delivered to the employees homes, were another way the company was working to help ensure the safety of its employees and their families.
To help encourage healthy living and promote e-mobility, Pirelli is offering its employees some Cycl-e electric bicycles for commuting to and from the office. Those who choose to use the electric bicycles will have access to showers and changing areas.
"The initiative is also a pilot test for the development of the initiative on a large scale and aimed at other companies as well," Pirelli said in a statement.
