DUSSELDORF, Germany—Some 3,000 companies from around the world have registered for participation in next year's K 2022, with organizers stressing the enthusiasm shown by exhibitors at the prospect of taking part in an in-person major in-person event.
"K 2022 will again occupy the entire fairgrounds," said Erhard Wienkamp, managing director at Messe Düsseldorf. "When talking to exhibitors we feel that there is an enormous demand for personal exchange on a global level."
K 2022 is scheduled to take place from October 19-26, 2022, in Düsseldorf. The show is looking forward to welcoming the "Who's Who" of the international plastics and rubber industry, as its organizers described it, noting that no other trade show is able to reach such high international attendance.
The three overarching themes of the fair will be the circular economy, digitalization and climate protection. These themes will also be the focus of the official special show "Plastics Shape the Future," the Science Campus and VDMA's Circular Economy Forum.
With a nod to the global developments of the past year and in tune with the times, the physical event on site will be extended to include additional digital content. This will also offer K the opportunity to further develop its concept while meeting market needs.
It also "consolidates the pole position of K in Düsseldorf as a central communication and information platform of its industry—for the duration of the physical trade fair and beyond," said Wienkamp.
