LONDON—The international rubber event IRC 2020 has been canceled due to the complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the International Rubber Conference Organization.
In a recent update on its website, IRCO said the event, which was themed around sustainable technology, innovation and mobility, is now canceled after having been postponed earlier in the year.
Organized by the Indian Rubber Institute, the show was originally set to be held Oct. 15-17 in Chennai, India, but was later postponed to April 15-17, 2021.
In addition, RubberCon 2020, which is a smaller and more specialized event, has also been moved to an online format.
Organized by the French rubber association (AFICEP), the conference was to be held June 4-5 in Paris with a focus on environment and recycling.
The event will now be held on Feb. 11-12 2021 as a virtual conference, IRCO added.
