BARBERTON, Ohio—Hexpol North America has partnered with local pharmacies to operate on-site COVID-19 vaccine clinics in certain geographic regions.
The clinics will occur over the upcoming months and will provide access to the vaccine for its employees and qualifying family members, the company said in a news release. The first clinics were set up at what it calls its "North" plants, which are located in Burton, Middlefield, Barberton and Mogadore, Ohio.
"So far, our employees have expressed great interest and appreciate the easy accessibility of the on-site COVID-19 clinics," Jerry Saxion, director of Hexpol's North Operations, said in a statement. "Throughout the year, we will continue to roll out additional clinics that also include the annual influenza vaccine."
Hexpol N.A. has continued production throughout the coronavirus pandemic at its 16 North American facilities "with the support and sacrifice of its employees," the firm said.
Hexpol added that it is now faced with new challenges with raw material supply disruptions and significant global logistic delays, but that it "continues to fulfill orders and service customers while placing the highest priority on practicing COVID-19 protocols as mandated by federal, state, and local government guidelines."
