CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.—Hankook Tire & Technology Co. Ltd.'s plant in Clarksville has resumed production.
According to a company spokesperson, the plant officially opened on April 20th. It had been idled from March 30 to April 19.
Around 1,200 hourly workers are employed at the plant in Clarksville, which Hankook opened in 2017.
During the time it was temporarily shut down, Hankook's U.S. warehouses, including the one located at the Tennessee plant, operated as normal.
The Hankook spokesperson also said its plants in Asia supported the U.S. region, as needed, by providing production assistance, shipment and supply of raw materials to avoid any interruption in sales.
