Continental A.G. has restarted some of its production operations in Romania, following temporary closures put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The company's tire plan in Timisoara suspended production March 25. The plant was reopened April 7, according to Miodrag Hojda, media relations officer at Continental Romania.
In the same city, Continental's facility producing belts and air conditioning lines was brought back on stream April 10. Operations there were halted on March 30.
Meanwhile, ContiTech hose plants in Nadab and Carei remain idled and most of the company's administrative and R&D staff continue to work from home where possible.
