FAIRFIELD, N.J.—Azco Corp. Inc. remains open as a part of the supply chain for machine builders serving essential business sectors.
Founded in 1983, the company designs and manufactures machine modules used to feed, cut and place products for the packaging, food, medical and converting industries.
Azco said some of its customers manufacture medical devices, diagnostics and treatments for the novel coronavirus.
"We are honored to partner as a critical supplier with companies who are working to accelerate the fight against the COVID-19 virus," Azco President Andrew Zucaro said in a news release about the business staying open amidst the shutdown of many commercial industries.
Azco also helps companies make products used in hospitals. The company's modules used to produce medical supplies include cut-to-length units for producing masks, gowns, gauze and tape; test-strip cutters for diagnostic test strips; and, tubing cutters for medical tubing.
"We are proud of our team who shows up every day, designing and building units and machines to help companies produce protective devices for people and manufacture test strips and diagnostic devices," Zucaro said.
