HACKENSACK, N.J.—Master Bond Inc. has developed a two-part epoxy adhesive and sealant that has a working life of 12-14 hours at ambient temperatures for a 100-gram mass.
Master Bond EP62-1AO is beneficial when bonding or sealing large parts that may need time for mixing and application, the firm said. It has a high strength profile with a service temperature range between -60°F to 450°F.
The product is both electrically insulating and thermally conductive, Master Bond said, and has a strong chemical resistance when compared to other thermally conductive epoxies.
The mixed compound's viscosity is of a thixotropic paste consistency and it is available in 30-cc syringe kits, half-pint kits, pint kits and quart kits.
