COLOGNE, Germany—Lanxess A.G. has developed a vulcanization accelerator for tires and technical rubber goods.
Vulkacit TZ, a trial product, is sulfenamide based on aromatic amines and suitable for all types of rubber, according to Lanxess. The product, Lanxess noted, has a long scorch time with no premature onset of the rubber's vulcanization process.
This group of accelerators are suitable for both press heating and injection/transfer molding processes. Detailed information on the accelerators are available at Lanxess' website.
