WALDKRAIBURG, Germany—Kraiburg TPE's Thermolast M compounds meet the requirements of the guideline 2017 for medical grade plastics.
Passed by the Association of German Engineers (VDI) in July 2019, Kraiburg says the guideline regulates the requirements that qualified medical grade plastics have to meet, adding that VDI 2017 is an "important first step toward harmonizing the range of performance that a medical grade plastic must fulfill."
Kraiburg said all its Thermolast M compounds are free from heavy metals, latex, polyvinyl chloride and phthalates. They also are manufactured on dedicated production lines with the highest degree of purity.
