ERIE, Pa.—Erie Mill and Press Co. has designed an inverted L four roll lab calender for mixing and calendering lab or full production applications.
The calender features four 6-inch by 13-inch chrome-plated rolls, which are procession ground to minimize material contamination and sticking while improving accuracy, Erie said. Options include heated or cooled cored chilled rolls. The calender also has manual or automatic adjustable roll nip options.
Variable speed drive lets the user be in control of the process and includes both chain and sprocket or directed drive options, Erie said, adding that the calender is OSHA compliant, allowing it to be operated safely and efficiently.
