DARMSTADT, Germany—It's not just that noise, vibration and harshness products have to do more to ensure that electric vehicles stay smooth and quiet.
It's that they have to do it under pressure. Quite literally.
That's because battery-electric vehicles, which can weigh as much as 18-24 percent more than their internal combustion engine counterparts, demand more from chassis control products. Those products have to stand up to maximum loads, higher suspension pre-loads and greater overall durability demands.
Vibracoustic, a global manufacturer of NVH products, has released new chassis bushings that it says not only stand up to the increased weight of BEVs, but meet the performance expectations of OEMS and drivers, alike.
