KIYOSU, Japan—Automotive supplier Toyoda Gosei Co. Ltd. is responding to the rapidly changing landscape of the automotive industry by restructuring its management to ensure it can respond more quickly to industry needs.
"This change will increase flexibility in personnel allocation to make sure the right person is in the right place, expand the development and activities of management personnel who will lead the company in the future, and speed up decision-making by reducing and flattening the executive hierarchy," the company said in a statement.
Through the reorganization, Toyoda Gosei will reduce the number of executives and audit & supervisory board members from 30 to 21. Changes are to take effect after the general shareholders' meeting in June.
