R.D. Abbott will present "Moldable Optical Silicones for Advanced Automotive Lighting," an Ask the Expert session from noon to 12:30 p.m. EDT on June 1.
Dow Technical Service and Development Scientist Jacob Steinbrecher's presentation will address emerging challenges and opportunities for silicone elastomers in automotive lighting. Dow Silastic moldable optical silicones are ideal for complex part designs, precision molding with intricate tooling, and innovative technologies like Adaptive Driving Beam lighting systems.
The conference also will showcase the results of "Elastomer Sealing Performance in Hydrogen Fuel Cells," a collaborative study conducted by the technical teams at Arlanxeo, Cancarb Limited, and R.D. Abbott from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. June 2.
Kevin Kulbaba, Technical Service and Application Development Manager for Arlanxeo, will highlight elastomer sealing performance advancements using Thermax N990 Carbon Black and X-Butyl Bromobutyl designed for hydrogen fuel system technologies.
