COLUMBUS, Ohio—Hankook Tire America Corp. won a double award for quality, delivery and value from Honda Motor Co. at the 35th annual Honda Supplier Conference in Columbus.
Honda honored 85 North American suppliers for consistently exceeding expectations and offering outstanding value, but Nashville-based Hankook was one of only four suppliers to be honored with awards for excellence in the all of the areas of quality, delivery and value, Hankook said in a press release.
"Hankook has now been the recipient of awards in the supplier value category four times, as well as two in the newly merged delivery and quality category from the manufacturer," the tire maker said.
A Honda supplier since 2013, Hankook supplies tires to 16 Honda plants in North America, providing both passenger and light truck tires.
"Hankook values our partnership with Honda to provide the highest quality tires for Honda vehicles," Eric Shirley, Hankook Tire's director of original equipment sales, said in a statement. "These awards are a reflection of our strong and growing relationship, and it is an honor to continue to support Honda."
